STCY® x CHAMPION® REVERSE WEAVE
In 1919, three members of the Feinbloom family decided to team up to create a new sportswear brand in Rochester, New York. The company was founded in 1919 under the name Knickerbocker Knitting Mills.
In order to remedy the shrinkage resulting from frequent washing of sports clothing, Champion® was the first to imagine the technical sweatshirt. Cut by placing the fleece crosswise to avoid shrinkage, the Reverse Weave sweatshirt quickly becomes the favorite of all American sports teams. After having imagined this technique in 1934, Champion filed the patent in 1938 and obtained its validation in 1952.
In 1956, the famous C logo, now Champion's signature, appeared for the first time placed on the left sleeve of each sweatshirt. This logo and its place on the garment will become the distinctive mark of Champion®.
STCY® is once again collaborating with the CHAMPION® REVERSE WEAVE brand to create this magnificent oversized "Retro Running Club" fleece hoodie soft reverse weave 400g/m2. This soft Reverse Weave model is taken from the archives of the 60s. With a sober and minimalist cut, it is simply enhanced with a C logo patch on the sleeve and Retro Running Club embroidery on the chest.
