Diadora Heritage Italian Sport Brand and I iconic NYC Sneaker Retailer take an edgy approach to footwear with their S8000 "Giallo 2.0" Drop that pays homage to the genre of Italian cinema.
Extra Butter NYC and Diadora are collaborating to unite sneaker lovers and horror moviegoers with their S8000 "Giallo 2.0" sneaker release. Following their 2016 partnership, the pair's name pays homage to a niche 1970s Italian horror film genre - Giallo.
“The term Giallo literally translates to yellow, which was originally a literary reference to the yellow-colored paperbacks of 1930s Italian detective novels that focused on themes that influenced a move for Italian filmmakers decades later,” says Extra Butter creative director Bernie Gross. "Unlike classic American slashers which relied on gory and scary tactics, Giallo's films were more psychological and featured highly stylish cinematography. The use of bright colors that contrast with darker, macabre scenes became the inspiration to design the color story of the S8000.
Made in Italy with special attention to craftsmanship, the Extra Butter x Diadora S8000 "Giallo 2.0" features a striking multi-color palette on accents premium suede and pigskin leather Tongue and footbed feature ornate geometric accents that hardcore horror fans will recognize as deep references from the Giallo movie These sneakers are presented in an edit box special with a special hangtag on this occasion.
