Red Wing Mink Oil 97105 is a conditioner designed to maintain and soften leather. Its formula—based on mink oil, lanolin, and silicone—penetrates the leather to help maintain its suppleness while enhancing water resistance.
Particularly well-suited for the care of oiled leathers, Mink Oil also gives the leather a deeper, richer tone.

Composition:
The Red Wing Mink Oil formula includes:
Mink oil – conditioning agent
Lanolin – conditioning agent
Silicone
Petroleum-derived components necessary for the formulation

Red Wing’s official ingredient declaration lists mink oil, petroleum jelly, and paraffin waxes among the product's constituents.

Note: Mink Oil darkens leather.
Its use creates a deeper, richer color, which can significantly alter the leather's original appearance. It is therefore recommended to test the product on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.

Instructions for use:
Thoroughly clean the shoe to remove dust and dirt.
Allow the leather to dry completely.
Apply a thin, even layer of Mink Oil using your fingers, a cloth, or a sponge.
Work the product into the leather.
Let it sit and wipe off any excess if necessary.
Allow the leather to fully absorb the product before wearing the shoes.
For oiled leathers, Red Wing recommends first cleaning the leather and then applying a thin, even layer of conditioner.
