BARBOUR Jacket
In 1980, Barbour produced its first short, lightweight jacket, the Bedale. Originally designed for horse riding, Dame Margaret Barbour designed the Bedale with equestrian practices in mind: a shorter length, a relaxed fit, and gussets at the back. Made from a mid-weight 6oz waxed cotton and fully versatile with an optional removable lining and hood.
The classic elements of a Barbour jacket are all included, with a two-way brass zipper, two large bellowed pockets and two moleskin-lined handwarmer pockets, and the traditional corduroy collar with a throat flap.
