Casio's famous calculator watch, the CA-53, pays homage to the Casio Mini, the world's first mini-calculator, by incorporating the original colors and design of this legendary and revolutionary calculator.
The unique design of this watch face combines an LCD screen and a full calculator-style keypad, incorporating the motifs of the original Casio Mini launched in 1972. The screen displays text in green on a negative LCD screen, and the keypad uses the original font, with each key separated by a grid line. The use of red for the mode indicator in the upper right corner evokes the image of the calculator's power indicator. Every detail, down to the white lines at the top and bottom of the watch face, exudes a retro-modern style. In addition to the calculator function that adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides up to eight digits, the watch is also equipped with numerous features such as a second time zone, a stopwatch, and a daily alarm.
