The MXR reflects our desire to spread Mizuno's retro 2000s running experience, as an extension of the globally recognized Wave Rider 10. The MXR name comes from the Maximizer line, a running line that has been offered for years in our home market to bring Mizuno quality to a wide audience. The MXR is an entry-level silhouette, but it remains true to the essence of Mizuno, with a high level of quality and technicality. Particular attention was paid to the new tooling, with a high level of detailing and multiple rubber sections that allow for technical color blocking. This version is a continuation of our premium vibe, with a synthetic suede overlay and normcore tones. The mesh is a little closer, to maintain a casual, transitional vibe. The design of this model originates from the Maximizer released in 2009, which was unearthed from Mizuno's vast archives amid the spread of retro running shoes in the 2000s. We call it MXR "CASUAL" thanks to the use of a combination of synthetic suede and two types of mesh.
