The Malibu Latigo is a huarache moccasin, often considered the best all-around Beach Moc available.
Back when surfers headed south to Baja Mexico to avoid the crowded surf scene of Southern California in the late 1950s, they befriended the indigenous people of Mexico who introduced them to this type of simple, yet complex and rustic, hand-woven sandals. Since then, huaraches have also been called “surfer sandals”.
With a return to the traditional design approach using contemporary engineering techniques and cruelty-free vegan materials, we have updated this classic style and everyday garment.
